Good understanding and knowledge of US OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regulations, guidelines and programs for Health & Safety.

  1. Maintains contact information with internal OHS groups as well as external regulatory agencies such as OHSA, Fire department and others.
  2. Assists in typing, editing, indexing and revising a variety of documents, and implementation of OHS&E procedures, work instructions, policies, programs and manuals related to OHS activities, regulations and compliance.
  3. Provides basic OHS program, procedure and work instruction, coordinates or provides employee training, contractor inductions and orientation and/or report results on surveys on industrial hygiene programs.
  4. Is responsible for the Near-Miss program, meeting objectives and informing personnel on day-to-day status.
  5. Issues OHS employee licenses required under program requirements.
  6. Acts as the custodian of OHS documentation, regulatory permits, OHS certifications, and documentation including computerized programs..
  7. Communicates with all levels of management, supervision, and employees on a wide variety of OHS&E issues and coordinates training, group, and meeting events.
  8. Carries out, communicates, and updates OHS&E meeting calendar. Keeps working area clean and organized following the 6S principles.
  9. Participates in OHSE SBU program.
  10. Assists on compliance with OHS rules.
  11. Meets each of the Environmental Policy and company commitment requirements.
  12. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year College or Technical school, preferable in a technical field related to OHS&E; • Three years of related experience Math Skills Computer Skills Available 1, 2 and 3er shift
